Westerham Sure Start Children’s Centre

We provide Sure Start Children’s Centre services for families with children under 5 in an area that covers 54 square miles within the Sevenoaks District.  Unlike many other Children’s Centres we do not have a fixed Centre base from which services are delivered, but offer outreach services throughout the Westerham Children’s Centre catchment area.

We work closely with midwives, health visitors, pre-schools, parent & toddler groups as well as  agencies that can help families with housing, employment, and training queries.  Working together we aim to support families in giving children under 5 the best possible start in life.

If you would like to get involved or find out more about what we do, please contact me .  I look forward to meeting you soon!

Westerham Day Nursery

Westerham Day Nursery has been established since 1994. We are located in the grounds of Churchill Primary School. We are a full day care setting; registered by Ofsted to care for up to 50 children each day, under the age of 6 years.

We pride ourselves on our highly qualified and experienced team of nursery practitioners that creates a fun and caring environment for children to learn and develop through play. Key workers plan activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage to support and develop each child at their own individual level.

Churchill CE Primary School

We seek to develop an environment which encourages high achievements whilst retaining a caring and respectful approach towards others, one of mutual trust. This is fundamental to our school ethos, and the school team of staff, governors, parents and children are committed to this.

We have strong links with our local church St. Mary’s, and together we encourage the children to develop a positive and self-disciplined approach to their work in a happy enjoyable environment. Our school motto is ‘Others’ and we always remember how much this means to us all.

Valence School

Valence School is a well established centre of excellence offering high quality learning opportunities and excellent social and health care to children and young people who have physical disabilities and complex medical needs. The School has both day and residential places and has many outstanding specialist facilities.

The School is an exciting, innovative and dynamic place – we are proud of our specialist work in which students’ achievements, progress and development is at the heart of everything we do. The School works hard to have close and productive relationships with parents and carers and we are grateful for the support that they provide. Our ‘can do’ approach aims to give our children and young people the skills and understanding, together with the confidence and independence necessary for them to participate in and contribute to society in the way each chooses.

Air Cadets

2427 Squadron parades on Mondays and Wednesdays between 1845hrs and 2200hrs.  This is a youth organisation that is sponsored by the Royal Air Force, but not purely for the recruitment of airmen and pilots, many cadets go on to fly as a profession in both military and civil life, of course others may not go on to fly at all, but at least they have a good grounding in citizenship and leadership.

Our recruitment ages are between 13 and 16 years old, but cadets can stay on until they are 20.  Biggin Hill squadron recruit on a bi-monthly basis as the basic training is approximately 2 months long, after this period they receive their uniform and are enrolled.  If potential new recruits wish to come along for a visit, they can contact the squadron on 01959 570426 during parade hours, or they can email  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Westerham Amateur Dramatic Society YOUTH

Westerham Amateur Dramatic Society YOUTH is revived! This is going to be a fresh and slightly wacky birth of a youthful version of WADS, with a fun and quirky approach, and Carla Fraser (founder member) has written 'A Charmed Life' to kick things off!

In July the young actors from Westerham Youth Theatre perform a series of specially written plays at Quebec House. No need to book, just turn up at the house between 1 & 4pm on Sundays 8,15 and 22nd July as our superbly talented young actors bring alive some lost stories from Quebec House. Discover the previous owners of the house, how Benjamin West’s painting changed the history of art and the sadness of Mrs Wolfe’s final years. Thursdays and Fridays in August see us teaming up with Parish Council as we invite local children to discover the 50 things to do before you're 11 ¾

We don’t charge an annual sub, but players pay a match fee to cover costs.
