Food Bank

Westerham’s Food Bank

A Food Bank for Westerham – surely not?

Yet in our picturesque and seemingly affluent town there are families who struggle to put sufficient food on the table. So a number of Westerham’s organisations have come together to set up a Food Bank which will distribute donated non-perishable foods to families referred to it initially by agencies.

Westerham's Food BankA big thank you to all those who continue to donate to the Food Bank. It has currently supports singles and families with a total of 16 children between them. We are always grateful for any donations, but at the moment we would especially appreciate squashes, long life milk, tinned fruit, coffee, rice, loo paper, washing powder/liquid and shampoo and other toiletries. We have sufficient stocks of soup, beans and pasta for a while!

Food can be left in the baskets in Waitrose Biggin Hill,  St Mary’s Church,  Co-op in Westerham, Wolfe Garage, Westerham Library, or the Council Office.

And if you feel you can help by volunteering your time – please call 01959 562147, or 01959 562058.

Thank you!
