Eureka Open Garden for NGS

Saturday & Sunday 20th & 21st July, 3rd & 4th August, 24th & 25th August 11 – 4pm Suzanne & Gordon Wright are again opening their garden for charity as part of the National Gardens’ Scheme.
Adults £5 children FREE

Parking is at Westerham Heights Garden Centre 200 yards away, with parking at the house for those with walking difficulties. There will be teas (or ice cold drinks) with homemade cakes and it is wheelchair accessible.

In addition to the entry money going to the NGS, we have a different local charity supplying the homemade teas and helping with the parking who receive 100% of the proceeds from the teas on the weekend for their specific charity.  Eureka is a 1 acre garden with a blaze of colourful displays in perennial borders and the 8 cartwheel centre beds. Hundreds of annuals in tubs and troughs and 50 hanging baskets. Sculptures, garden art, chickens, lots of seating, and stairs to a viewing platform. Many quirky surprises at every turn. Great fun for children incl a free Treasure Trail with prizes for all, bubbles & small watering cans. Garden art incl 12ft dragon, a horse’s head carved out of a 200yr old yew tree stump and a 10ft dragonfly on a reed. 2 ‘Secret’ paths through Rhododendrons & Bamboos and a ‘Spooky’ walk inside the 20ft high Laurel hedge. Begonias, Dahlias, Pelargoniums and Fuchsias are overwintered each year to provide masses of colour for over 150 hanging baskets and tubs. Hundreds of HH annual seeds are also grown in our greenhouse & conservatory from early Spring.

We look forward to seeing you..
