We are a small, friendly group meeting for a variety of activities – drawing, watercolours, pastels and more. We have enjoyed the activities of the Autumn Term including contour drawing; painting peppers; pets and Bonfire Night.
Jonathan Brown (Jessops Farm) did a demonstration and Christmas decorations were made for the WAG tree at the Parish Church festival.
Next term topics will include flower painting in different styles; balloons; scribbly animals; crushed cans; a model and a tutor-workshop with Carol Aston. The group meets on Mondays at Russell House.
Maybe you have retired recently; enjoyed art at school; have itchy creative fingers or have a New Year resolution to do some painting. Our meeting space is limited, so there is sometimes a waiting list, but we are still keen to meet others who would like to join our informal group.
If you are interested in joining the group an application form is available here or you can pick one up from the Town Council Office. (The car park is for Council staff, doctors and surgery patients only.) Please speak first to Joan (01959 573918) to see if there is a waiting list, or the Town Council office for further details and application form. If you’d like further details, please email email@example.com
