Christmas Tree Festival 2018
St Mary’s Church Heritage Trust

Christmas Tree

Thursday 29th November 5pm – Sunday 9th December 6pm

St Mary’s Heritage Trust Christmas Tree Festival brings our community together. Everyone is invited to display a tree in the church which is then open to the public for viewing. Typically, we have 90 trees on display, many of them themed to the interest of the provider. This popular Festival is just one of a number of events organised by the Trust to invite us all to come together, and help raise funds to help preserve the oldest building in Westerham, our 13th century church. Residents and visitors alike are invited into our beautiful church, so that they can enjoy with us those things that we hold dear at this important time of the Christian year.

A Time of Christmas

Saturday 8th December 2018 7pm

A feast of choral music on the theme of Christmas presented by The GROVE SINGERS of LONDON.

The Grove Singers of London are experienced choral singers and come from all over Southern England and the Midlands. They point out that they know of no other choir that takes its name from a pub! The “Grove Inn” in Shropshire is where the singers first met, at a choral study weekend in 1992.

Now, 25 years on, they are still meeting as a group of friends who love singing together in beautiful places.  And surely there can be few more beautiful places than the Church in Westerham?
They regularly perform for local communities in support of fund-raising projects, as on this occasion, and also give concerts on behalf of National charities.  They have raised over £50,000 since 1992.
