Christmas Lights Switch-On Event 2018
Organised by the Westerham Town Council and partners
Thursday 29th November 2018 5 – 8pm
An evening of festive entertainment for all the family
We are excited to announce that The Kings Arms Hotel will be holding a mini Christmas market in their grounds.
There will be hog roast, mulled wine/festive bar and stalls selling Christmas gifts and crafts.
• Free parking
The Town Crier will be announcing the programme.
Children can take part in a FREE Christmas trail along the High Street
Collect and return your completed entries to “No 17” to receive a prize!
5pm St Mary’s Heritage Trust Christmas Tree Festival opens in St Mary’s Church
6.15pm Churchill School Choir on The Green
6.25pm Father Christmas arrives at The Green!
6.30pm Christmas Tree lights switched on by Father Christmas, helped by Cinderella and the ‘Food for Thought’ Elves
6.35pm The winner of the best dressed window competition will be announced
6.40pm Westerham Sea Cadets Band on The Green
• The WADs cast of Cinderella will be mingling with the Crowds
• Mince pies will be provided by the Catholic Church.
• There will be plenty of opportunity to start your Christmas shopping early with
many of the High Street’s shops staying open late to welcome you.

TV Broadcaster, Devoted Husband, Father And Farmer JB Gill (of boy-band JLS) accompanied Father Christmas and Westerham’s new Vicar, Rev. Kevin Barnard, switched on the lights on The Green a little after 6.30pm. He arrived in Westerham with Father Christmas on a Dray pulled by horses from Hurst Green Shires.
