Westerham Town Partnership and Westerham Horticultural Society will be celebrating all that is country crafts, activities and produce, alongside local vintage, retro and fashion stalls with a Country Fayre on The Green. Download a poster here
The Westerham Horticultural Society will add another sparkle to your day and are holding their Autumn Show in St Mary’s Church to display with the very best of autumn harvest. The competition is open to everyone, and details on how to enter can be found on the Horticultural Society website
Our Forest Bodger, John, is bringing his pole lathe to the Green – you may remember seeing him last year. Willow weaving – come and talk to Nicola who will explain how to weave willow. Ever wondered what goes on inside a beehive? Wow the family with a visit to our Westerham bee-keepers And you can buy some delicious organic honey too.
Mutton Chop Forge. Blacksmith Carl is a traditional blacksmith based in South Nutfield, Surrey, producing a wide range of contemporary and bespoke items, historical restorations, as well as doing everyday items, metal fabrication and welding. Commissions are welcome. In addition to my every day work I have a mobile medieval forge, from which I present a living history display of medieval forging techniques
Visit our coconut shy and old-fashioned fairground at the bottom of the Green – you’ll have the ride of your life on the vintage chair-o-plane, they don’t make them like that anymore! The Scouts will let you try your hand at games like hoopla, deck quoits and Tin-Pan Alley with prizes to be won.
And you can test your skill at ‘Whip the Cloth’. £1 a go for a chosen charity
Don’t forget it’s a laugh a minute with Punch and Judy at 1 o’clock and 3 o’clock – lots of family fun. Professor Imperius (aka Paul Jackson) all the way from Brighton Seafront presents a traditional show that really packs a punch! You just might see Mojo the Monkey and Judy dancing the Can-Can and the inevitable crocodile and sausages.
