While acupuncture is a healthcare system based on ancient principles, it is still very much suited to modern life. It is of the viewpoint that the physical, emotional and mental aspects of an individual are interdependent, it thereby connects and considers all the different factors of a person’s life. In taking this approach each patient is viewed as being unique, with the main focus being on the individual, not their illness. All signs and symptoms are considered in relation to each other whether they appear to be connected or not, with the overall aim being to resolve the root of the problem rather than just alleviate symptoms.
I also offer holistic and deep tissue massage which combines and applies a range of techniques including:
Amma fusion, drawing from Eastern massage techniques such as acupressure, table shiatsu, Thai massage and tuina.
Myofascial Release
Trigger Point Therapy
Deep Tissue Massage
Stretching
Holistic and deep tissue massage manipulates the soft tissue of the body; muscles, tendons, and ligaments. In doing so it can help stimulate and increase circulation, alleviate muscular tension or pain and promote relaxation. During your first session we will discuss your health and any concerns you may have. A full body treatment is recommended, however treatments can be tailored to concentrate on areas you may feel need more attention, such as back, neck, shoulders or legs.
