If you have a… Full Day in Westerham
A chance to delve deeper and discover more, we’re sure Westerham won’t disappoint…

If you start early, then you’ll have time to Walk round Westerham (see a half day in Westerham) – or alternatively browse the shops for a couple of hours before heading off to Chartwell for the rest of the day.
Drive there – there’s plenty of parking space – and stop off in its restaurant for a snack before visiting the house (timed entry ticket arrangement applies) where rooms remain much as they were when it was a family home . Wander the gardens, and visit the Studio where many of Churchill’s own paintings are displayed.
At the end of the day, do come back to Westerham for a meal, or a final drink before wending your way home.

The long distance footpath, the North Downs Way runs to the north of Westerham on its way from Farnham in Surrey to Dover – for much of its way following the same route as the Pilgrims Way along which pilgrims travelled from Canterbury to Winchester. The 108 miles of the Greensand Way passes to the south of the town along the Greensand ridge. Both have excellent views and are worth the effort for a wander…
Have a look as well at the booklet Westerham History Trails, (available locally) which as well as providing a guide to local walks, gives an interesting and entertaining insight into the history of the town and some of its famous – and infamous – former inhabitants.
Not had your fill yet? There’s plenty more to see and do if you have more days to spend…
